In May 2020 I challenged myself to run 50km for the charity, I just chose the random charity that it was that month, which happened to be Multiple Sclerosis Australia. Almost a year later, in April 2021, I woke up with numbness and tingling in my foot, not thinking it was anything serious, however lest than a month later, in May, when I was on holiday with my fiancé, now wife’s, and her family, I was got so tired I went to bed at 6pm, attributing it to the days activities. The following day I felt fine, however the day after I woke up with numbness in my groin and lower back, which over the next month spread throughout my back and to my hands. After lots of hospital visits and tests, and a misdiagnosis of viral infection, I was finally able to get an MRI (something I’d been fighting to get since the beginning but doctors kept dismissing it), it was discovered that I was having an MS attack and after confirming this wasn’t the first, I have now been diagnosed with MS (Relapsing Remitted).

After all the tests I went through in 2021, I am now at full health (the best i can be with a few symptoms) and this year I have decided to challenge myself yet again.

I will be running 200kms throughout May, and the last weekend of may i will pushing myself again to not only this time run 50kms but to run 50 miles (80kms).
