MOTIVATORS

MEET OUR INCREDIBLE MOTIVATORS

Each year we gather a group of individuals living with MS to share their stories and motivate all The May 50K participants to get active, tick off those KMs, and of course remind us why fundraising is so vital.

We are so thankful to this group for sharing with us and motivating us all to keep moving!

Michelle

Michelle has been taking part in The May 50K since its first year. Each year she raises her fundraising and distance goal, and in 2025 she was the highest individual fundraiser!

“Last year was my biggest fundraising year. I will continue to complete The May 50K as long as my body allows me.”

JAX

Diagnosed at just 22 years old, Jax is back taking part in The May 50K for her second year to show that MS can look different on everyone.

“I love sharing my active life with MS, and hope to use my online platform to spread awareness, raise funds and have fun while doing it!”

ANNE-MAREE

Since her first year starting The May 50K in 2023, Anne-Maree has raised over $45,000 for MS Australia in total. She truly is a fundraising superstar!

“Good on you. Keep motivated. As a person living with MS, you have my absolute and full support, and I congratulate you all.”

MARIANNE

MS Australia Advocacy Award winner for 2024! Marianne inspires and supports other people living with MS by facilitating MS Plus Peer Support groups and taking part in The May 50K.

“It doesn’t matter whether you do 50k or 100k, every one of you is an MS champion – THANK YOU!”

Danni and Scott

Scott and Danni are superstar motivators of team Lardee Da! An excpetional, inspirational team all across Australia that Danni brings together each May in support of her husband, Scott who has PPMS.

“We are grateful to people giving us their time, support and most of all cash! I always say, let's help find a cure together!”

Chris and Charlene

After Chris's wife, Charlene was diagnosed with MS in 2019, Chris was driven towards raising funds and awareness for MS research. Back for his 6th year, Chris is ready to leave his limits behind in 2025!

“We are NOT giving in to this silent disease. I'm here to fight for my wife and our family... MS doesn't belong here.”

TESSA

Tessa has been living with MS for 30 years after symptoms first appeared at age 16. She is back with Team Arthurton for their 7th year at The May 50K, ready to keep raising funds and awareness for MS research!

“The May 50K always encourages me to be more active and I love participating with so many people from my community”

DANNY AND SARAH

Sarah was diagnosed with MS at age 19 and when Danny asked how he could help, Sarah jokingly replied, “Find a cure.” Determined to make a real difference, Danny signed up to The May 50K and began organising a big community event to raise funds for MS research.

I’m so moved by the way Danny rallied the community, not just for me, but for everyone living with MS.”
