My Progress

I'm 50km this month to leave MS behind

My Progress

My Target

Support my challenge to leave MS behind!

I’m taking part in The May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis!

MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure.

As happens, we don't pay much attention to issues like MS until someone we know shares how they have been hit with the challenge.

Approx two  years ago my niece, Jodee had her life turned on it's head when she was diagnosed with MS. Shortly afterwards her son Joshua received the news he too had MS.

Jodee is only in her 40's and Joshua in his 20's - two people with so much living and experiences to fulfill.  Their journey will inspire and motivate you to spread the word and support this challenge.

You can read first hand the challenges they face when you  follow them  at

I'd love you to make a donation so we can support the research that kicks MS in the guts and to the kerb -  where it belongs.

Your donation will support research into the prevention, treatment and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis to change lives.

Thank you!

My Updates

What is MS?

Many people know the term MS (Multiple Sclerosis) but have no idea what it is.

The following is a quote from MS Australia:

"MS is the most common acquired chronic neurological disease affecting young adults, often diagnosed between the ages of 20 to 40 and, in Australia, affects three times more women than men. As yet, there is no cure.

There is no known single cause of MS, but many genetic and environmental factors have been shown to contribute to its development.

In MS, the body’s own immune system mistakenly attacks and damages the fatty material – called myelin – around the nerves. Myelin is important for protecting and insulating nerves so that the electrical messages that the brain sends to the rest of the body, travel quickly and efficiently."

Regardless of what it is - it sucks that people have their lives turned upside down.  We can make a difference with our donations and kick MS to the kerb!
