Day 16 - daily walking activity 2.53kms

After the gym bike I decided I needed a chicken vegetable soup so fed myself with medicines plus plenty of vegetables, garlic and chicken πŸ˜‡πŸ™

A great lesson in not letting the mind stop myself from testing my bodies limits today after waking up feeling sick! Hopefully it helped my body with fighting off whatever is making feel sick and leads to me getting over this sickness quicker than if I just rested πŸ’―πŸ˜‡πŸ™

Day 16 - gym cycle 18.18kms

Woke up feeling sick today and stocked up with some medication to help fight off a cold/flu. By the afternoon was feeling better so went and jumped on the gym bike and surprisingly felt pretty good. Ended up pushing myself and completing a mind blowing 18.18kms which was completely unexpected and a sign that all my biking is really starting to pay off with my cardio fitness!!!

What a sweat fest today but cardio and breathing have improved dramatically after 2 weeks of consistent training.

Day 15 -gym cycle 17.9kms

35min Gym Cycle and sauna + cold shower recovery session. Legs were feeling it today at the start but kept pushing through to maintain a good pace to hit 15kms workout and 17kms with cool down included.

Day 14 - daily walking activity

6.65kms for the day included a walk with our girls πŸ˜‡πŸ€™πŸΎ

Legs were sore but still pushing through to get 30min workout (15-16kms) + 3-5min cool down (2-3kms) with a total target of 17-18kms completed.

Back on the gym bike followed by sauna & cold shower recovery session.

Fyi my quads, hamstrings, glutes and lower back are all still a little sore after Samoan Siva performance and deep tissue massage lol The struggle is real today but Sauna (12min) + cold shower (3min) treatments are a great way to recover afterwards. My version of hot & cold treatments from our Rigs Recovery session from my wife's birthday celebrations πŸ’―β€οΈπŸ˜‡πŸ™

Day 13 - gym cycle 17.3kms

After a restful Sunday Mothers Day it was back to the gym for a gym cycle followed by Sauna + cold shower sessions of 12min sauna & 3min cold showers (Γ—3) for recovery. Legs are still sore from Siva practices and performance but pushed through to do 17.3kms.

Day 12 - church & mothers day 1.5kms

Mothers Day Church service followed by fellowship brunch, deep tissue massage for my wife & I to celebrate our big week of Birthday, Netball, League, Samoan Siva & Mothers Day celebrations!!! Followed by an awesome home cooked meal dedicated to my wife with her favorite dinner with her mum (my mother inlaw) as our special guest. Which included watching a movie "Mother of the bride" and then a yummy desert πŸ’―β€οΈπŸ˜‡πŸ™

Day 11 - daily walking activity 10.2kms

Big day of Netball & Kings Siva Academy Samoan cultural performance. What a workout but soo worth it πŸ’―β€οΈπŸ‡ΌπŸ‡ΈπŸ˜‡πŸ™

Day 11 - saturday netball (raining) + kings siva performance

Started our day with Saturday Netball with light rain and wet courts. Then practicing the Sasa & Fa'ataupati for my Kings Siva adult workshop performance at Helensvale.

Day 10 - daily walking activity 4.4kms

Netball tournament winners Rugby League match vs Burleigh Bears with a win and first ever try for our daughter with her Nerang Roosters U11s team. Then celebrating with the family and watching Broncos vs Eels game where the Bronx won!!! Great Friday of 3 wins from 3 πŸ˜‡πŸ™ and Friday night fun celebrating with family

Day 10 - indoor netball tournament year 5&6

***Gratitude post *** Supporting my daughter at her Year 5&6 Netball tournament where her team finished as the tournament winners πŸŽ‰πŸ₯³πŸ‘

The legs were a little sore today but pushed myself to 15.64kms in 30mins new pb plus an additional 2.36kms in warm down to hit a new total pb of 18kms in 35mins!!!

Felt good this morning so pushed my pace ti beat yesterday's pb and ended up doing 18kms for a new pb πŸ’―πŸ’ͺ🏾πŸ”₯

Day 8 - 7.64kms walking

Daily walking activity via fitness tracker was 7.64kms on top of my gym cycling. Was a busy day of meetings and taking girls to league training then Bible study + Youth group at church

After a few days of rest, recovery and birthday celebrations it was back on the bike and time to catch up on my new target/goal! Legs felt really strong today and my glutes were recovered from the bike seat finally lol

My wife turned out be a sharp shooter and the instructor made it very clear that I need to be very careful and not to upset her or else lol

Day 7 wifey's birthday

The focus was my wife's birthday as she had the day off work and we had a couples date day where I made her breakfast, took her shooting at a local gun range, visit to Rigs recovery in Bundall, followed by late lunch before picking up the kids. Then me & the girls took her oit to Hurricanes in Surfers Paradise for dinner with Nanna & Koro to celebrate. Then finished the night off with Banana birthday cake made by our eldest daughter πŸ’―β€οΈπŸ˜‡πŸ™

Day 6 labour day long weekend

Our eldest daughter had a rugby league training day with her Nerang Roosters U12s team plus a team feed afterwards. Pretty quiet day for me as I was resting my body ready for another big week ahead!

Day 5 sunday church & rest day

Low challenge activity today with church and family time the focus. Today was holy communion and a farewell to some of church family Ron & Angie. Then our girls friends from church came over for an impromptu sleepover as Monday is Labour day public holiday

Adults/Parents Samoan Siva (dance) workshop in Helensvale

Day 4 saturday activities

Saturday involves girls netball then gymnastics plus domestic chores. Also started Samoan Siva (dance) classes.
