I’m taking part in The May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis!

MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure.

whose idea was this?!

I’m not sure if I agreed to do this charity run before or after I agreed to have shoulder surgery on 24 April - one week before it started?? Either way it wasn’t my greatest idea!! Yesterday, day one, it took me an hour to do 8km. had to start super early too because I was also returning to work that day. It was a very slow, gentle run/walk on the treadmill. all while keeping 1 arm from swinging. Today was a little easier on the shoulder but feeling very flat. At least distance covered has bought me 1 day off this month so far! phew. I think I’ll need it!! All so worth it of course as this is nothing to complain about really. I’m ever so lucky to even be able to do this challenge. Hoping to bring more positivity tomorrow. Now to decide which Parkrun to do tomorrow. I’m open to suggestions (just not Belair again!!)
