I’m taking part in The May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis!
I was diagnosed with MS in 2019, when I was just 21. I had tingling and numbness from my waist to my toes and with confirmation through tests, I began my MS journey. I started on a "watch and wait" plan, without any treatment and unfortunately relapsed at the three year mark. From here I started an infusion treatment, being Ocrevus, every 6 months. So far, I am 18 months lesion free!!
MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure.
