Slow and steady

only logged 11ks as of now, but I am determined to get to the target by the end of May

Walking…

So far in May, in the last 9 days I’ve walked 63 kms. Originally I was only aiming for 50 kms in the whole month, but I didn’t realise how far I normally walk! Thanks for all your support of my MS walking challenge.

Day 17

Day 17 - Hey my wonderful team members a HUGE thumbs up for your incredible achievement! Today we are FIRST on the leaderboard for the highest number of kilometres clocked up! Woo hoo a big shout to you all💋

Day 16 - Wow have you seen the leaderboard for Team Kms? Wow I’m so proud of you all for the fantastic commitment to achieving your May 50K goals 💋

Day 15 - A huge thank you for the outstanding results we have achieved as a group at the half way mark! SSO proud of you all. How you are all well and taking your challenges in your stride 💋

Day 9 Hope you’ve had a good day. I just wanted to tell you how very proud I am of you all committing to May50K! We are 1/3rd of the way towards our kilometres goal. That is really awesome and well done 💋💋💋

Day 8 Wow thank you everyone for your wonderful contribution to May 50K. The results for the first 8 days speak volumes! 💋💋💋

Day 7 Can you believe the first week of May 50K 2024 is done and dusted? Well done to you all we’ve got over $5,500 in donations and done 853kms! That is truly awesome. Hope you are enjoying this year’s fundraiser and the great support from so many of the MS family. Have a great Wednesday 💋

Day 6, I took the weekend off, in terms of communicating with you all, but still pounded the pavement with my trusty hiking poles and caught up on emails whilst riding my exercise bike. Hope you all had a great weekend. Congratulations! As a team we have clocked up 671 kms so far today, that is just fantastic. A huge thank you to you all for your wonderful commitment to May50K 2024 💋

Day 3

Day 3 Thrilled to welcome 2 more members to our team! We now are a dynamic team of 27! I hope you have all had a great day in this incredibly beautiful country. We have surpassed our donation goal today - $5,275! That’s truly awesome 👏🫶 And together we have clocked up 350kms, something to be enormously proud of. Thank you for your wonderful contribution to this very important annual MS fundraiser 💋

Day 2 - Wow we are a team of 25 MS warriors! I’m thrilled to have you all on my team. I hope your planned activity/s for Day 1 was reached. Remember what you achieved is fantastic and our goals will make such a difference to MS research. Let’s 💋 goodbye to MS!

A huge welcome to my team members. I’m so proud to have you join me as we clock up the kilometres and dollars. We have nearly reached our goal of $5,000 before we even start. I shall keep you informed as we go. Let’s kiss goodbye to MS!

Thank you for joining my team, as we take part in The May 50K and leave our limits behind to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis.

“To be part of this MS Community is so empowering. It makes me do the best I possibly can do even on a down day.

The community is so supportive that you want to achieve your personal best no matter how you feel.”

As you may know, I’ve been living with MS for 34 years, dealing with symptoms such as numbness, back pain, foot drop, loss of balance, reduced mobility and fatigue.

MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure.

"It's a disease, not a life sentence. It's all about positivity and focusing on what you can do rather than what you can't do. Once I changed my attitude, my whole life changed."

So, I will be conquering 250km in The May 50K and would love you all to join my team or donate to our challenge to help leave MS behind!

Together, we can support one another and raise much needed funds to support research into the prevention, treatment and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis to change lives.
