May 30 Walk

Although it was light, the rain started within minutes of the beginning of this walk. Despite this I decided to press on to Frankston, specifically 'Waves' restaurant on the beach. As this is probably the last walk for the challenge, I rewarded myself with a coffee and muffin from Maccas and continued on my way. Some more sightseeing included Kananook Creek, the Dandelion at Peninsula Link and Little Boggy Creek behind my house. It's been a wonderful challenge for me, now completing more than 250kms while raising money for this very worthy cause.

May 29 Walk

This morning was overcast and very chilly when I started walking, but by the time I was one third the way in on my walk the sun started to make an appearance. It's almost the end of May and I've completed over 220km. I feel fit and have enjoyed getting out into the fresh air. The walks have also given me the opportunity to see things in my neighbourhood and beyond that I would never notice if I'd been driving. Glad to have seen my world from this different perspective. 😌 🙌

May 27 Walk

A chilly, but beautiful sunny morning. Hubby and I had a walking date down to Frankston Pier and back again. Needless to say I was quite sore in the lower back, hips and legs for the walk back after doing 16km last night as well. Somewhere along Beach Street I hit the 200km mark of the total of accumulated May kms. I've doubled down on my km commitment. Really happy with what I've achieved. 😁

May 26 Walk

Late home from work. dark and cold. 🥶 A quick dinner then on the tready for the kms in front of the TV 📺 to pass the time.

May 23 Walk

A beautiful afternoon for a walk. This time I stayed in Langwarrin. I decided to go through the Langwarrin Flora & Fauna reserve.

May 22 Walk

A very chilly day for walking, but no excuse to hide from a good walk. Coat on and off I went, all the way to Oliver's Hill Lookout and back again.

May 21 Walk

A wet start to the day, but I still managed to squeeze in a quick 5kms once the sun came out. Then off to Alba Hot Springs for a soak and a rub. 😎💆‍♀️

May 15 Walk

I finally got my target. 124.92km in the bank. Over 27km today to get me over the line. Feet and hips are sore, but I feel mentally good that I was able to walk that far. I'll keep going until the end of May just to see how far I get. 😁

May 12 Walk

Home from work, dinner, then a 6km walk on the treadmill. Almost hit my 100km target.

May 9 Walk

More unsettled weather today. Another day in the treadmill. Another 15kms. Bigger strides today, less steps. must be getting fitter. 😄

May 8 Walk

Too cold, wet and unpredictable to pound the pavement, so tready it was.... and 'Silverwater' on Netfix to pass the time. Another 15km done ✔️ 😁

May 6 Walk

A bit chilly today. Wind breaker 🧥, cap 🧢 and sunnies 😎 on anyway to get those kms done. Lucky for me the dark clouds 🌧 were around me, not over me.

May 5 Walk

Another day at work meant another evening on the treadmill. Still managed 5km. Slowly chipping away at it.

May 4 Walk

It was a work day and an after hours class for me with no chance to walk the streets. ... so the 'tready' was a good way to cover off some kms. Albeit quite late I managed another 5kms and over 5000 steps. Routine is good for me. 🙂🚶🏽‍♀️

May 2 walk

Decided to just walk and see where I ended up. ...Langwarrin (home) to Frankston pier and back again. 4 hours 8 minutes

The First Walk

Decided that I would try to knock over a many kms as possible straight away. I surprised myself. I know if I can do the big walks on my days off I will surely get the 100kms done by the end of May. Fingers crossed 🤞 the weather just has to be nice to me.
