Final Day 2025

As person living with MS or what is commonly known as a MS Warrior, the outpouring of support and kind words has been encouraging to me and overwhelming.

Living with this changes your perceptions on the whole and also what is achievable. When your body doesn’t do what it should do can be very frustrating and mentally challenging. Events such as MS50K is important two fold not only for generous donations to continue research. On addition, it has positive effects at not only on community but helps in transforming Warriors lives.

I am beyond words how to describe my emotions at the moment. I just wanted to express how grateful I am to the KGMS team members and the generous donations. Thank you thank you thank you.

Day 28

What an achievement. I have surpassed my goal of 150km and I will continue to log my additional hours over the next few days left of the May50k.

It has been a pleasure in leading such a fabulous team that have joined me on this journey. I am extremely overwhelmed and appreciative of all the support and the outstanding donations that have been received towards research towards MS and finding different ways to support MS.

As everyone knows this is a personal journey with my own MS diagnosis. This has been challenging for me but worthwhile. I continue to struggle in different ways depending on how my own MS present interesting symptoms, however I am pleased to have embarked on this journey and that my MS symptoms are stable. Yippee!!!! I believe that the continued exercise and therapies helps. This is why supporting this cause is important.

A huge heartfelt thank you and big hugs from me to everyone who has shown their support in many ways.

Day 24 Update

The final 7 days of the MS 50K. It has been challenging but I am nearly reaching my goal of 150km. I only have 14 kms to complete over the next 7 days.

All that is needed a bit more donations to reach my goal of $1000.

I want to thank the other people involved in the Kicking Goals for MS (KGMS) team for their contributions and support. A huge thank you to all the donations received.

Let’s smash out the next days as we power through the finish line

Day 21 Update

Go Team KGMS!!! The team has been Kickin Goals for MS. I would like to personally thank all the very special team members on their contributions towards this common goal of collective moving towards smashing the goal of 860km. This a mammoth goal.

I would like to proud outline what we have all achieved so far as a team.

Completed distance: 589.71 km
Donations received: $2078

My own personal achievements within the team. As a person living with MS and a MS Warrior - this has been a personal challenge for me. My initial challenge was to walk for 150km.

Completed distance: 109 km
Distance to complete: 41 kms
Donations received: $894.52

Now is the interesting part as we move towards the last remaining days. Hopefully my body will reach this final goal. The ongoing support, generous donations and inspiring words I am personally received is helping me towards this goal.

Many thanks in advance to everyone

Day 11 Update

Happy Mothers Day for all the awesome Mums out there. I hope some of you had time to show love to your Mum today. I walked in memory of my Mum and have reached 58km towards my goal of 150km.

Please keep donating towards greater research towards finding a cure for MS.

DAY 7 UPDATE

I am overwhelmed by the positive response that has been received and the ongoing support. I personally could not achieve this goal of walking 150km without out the support of you all and the ongoing support from Allied Health team, including my physiotherapists. This is why this is super important to reach these goals to continue the work into research to try and find a cure for MS.

This is a fantastic achievement in just 7 days. Awesome work all you legends!!!

WE'VE RAISED $1,829 OF $2,500 GOAL

WE'VE LOGGED 184.20 KM OF 780 KM GOAL

If you can donate this would be greatly appreciated! Help in supporting by becoming a fellow Warrior in this community.

Day 2 Update

Thank you KGMS team members and all the donations that have been received. This is highly appreciated and helps motivate us in striving for meeting our collective goals. As a MS Warrior myself, I am overwhelmed by this support but warms by heart of all the kind words and donations received.

We are half way in getting donations that can be used to improve the lives of MS Warriors.

$2500 will contribute to MS Australia’s advocacy information sessions with Parliamentarians. Collectively we have raised $1442 towards supporting this cause that is very important to me personally.

This will help is creating change and hopefully makes lives of MS Warriors and family in getting politicians to improve their lives for the better.

The more conversations that can occur the better from my personal opinion. Please help in sharing and talking about MS.

Once again thank you to everyone with their support whether this is monetary or with physically embarking on this journey with me.

Kickin’ goals for ms (kgms)

I'm thrilled announce that I will be taking on the MS 50K challenge again this year in 2025, building on my 177km achievement in 2024. Many of you or some that might not know I have a personal story about MS. I was officially diagnosed with RRMS in 2019 (even though i have had some symptoms for years). The battle is real and enduring! I continue to work full time and strive to put a real face and action to continue to work towards showing that through challenges that anything is possible. My goal for 2025 is to walk 150kms and make a meaningful contribution to MS research. I'd love for you to join my team and be part of creating positive change. This time, I'm excited to lead a team and invite you to join me on this journey. To register for my team, Kickin’ Goals for MS (KGMS). Your support through a donation would be greatly appreciated.

Support our challenge to leave MS behind!

We are taking part in The May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis!

MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure.

Please make a donation and support our challenge to leave MS where it belongs, behind us.

Your donation will support research into the prevention, treatment and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis to change lives.

Thank you!
