I’m taking part in the May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis (MS).
MS is a chronic, unpredictable, often disabling autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the central nervous system, damaging the protective myelin sheath around nerve fibres. This disrupts communication between the brain, spinal cord, and body, leading to symptoms like vision problems, numbness, fatigue, muscle weakness, and balance issues.
MS often strikes young people in the prime of their lives, with the average age of diagnosis being just 30. There is currently no cure.

Your support will help fund research into prevention, better treatments, and ultimately a cure, changing lives for those living with MS.
