Support my challenge to leave ms behind!

I’m taking part in The May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis! MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure. Please make a donation and support my challenge to leave MS where it belongs, behind us. Your donation will support research into the prevention, treatment and finding a cure for multiple sclerosis to change lives. Thank you!

MY IMPACT TO LEAVE MS BEHIND OVER 1 YEAR

My Updates

Finished

Time for a kickback. My May 100km total walk is 104km. My May total, including incidental km/steps is 248km. Looking forward to next year❤️💖

Finished my walking challenge on world ms day😄🌞❤️

It's done❤️💖🎉🤠

Penultimate walk, with 98km completed

Took a beach route today, the cormorants applauded🌊

Gone bush

For a little difference today, I walked in amongst the grass trees at North Point Boston.

Light at the end...

Wow, 91km walked!!

Rain, glorious rain ☔🌧️

Our drought has broken (hopefully), and managed a couple of short walks between gale force winds, drenchings, and even hail!

Dust storm notwithstanding

Big winds today, hopefully heralding the start of winter rains🌦️☔

One week to go.....

Another beautiful day, although it's rain we all really want. Fingers crossed for a wet final week ☔🌦️

I never get tired of being in east bay

Just another beautiful day for a walk around our trails. Yes, I am tired from my walks, but never of our home❤️🌞😍

Community spirit

Okay, I've just logged the 75km🥰 mark of my walk. Added to this, I was bucketing 1/2 tonne of gravel into our East Bay community garden bed, which we've been working on. Nice one❤️🌞😉

Another lovely day at east bay

There are so many bird species here including rare and endangered birds we provide protection for. Here's the story of the hooded plover. Enjoy 💜

Car service and fast charge

Jim and I had Lovely day in Lincoln, lunch at the Fresh Fish Place, rotate the BYD wheels at Rocket Repairs and give the blade battery a fast charge in town. Of course, it's a beautiful opportunity to add some KMS for my walking challenge 😍😉🌞 Enjoy my picture of the back straight at Port Lincoln racecourse, with it's view over Proper Bay and the National Park ❤️🎈

Port lincoln appointments - 4.1km

My Monday appointments fulfilled, and a walk in town to complete my day. Stopped to snap a picture of our Makybe Diva statue. Enjoy 😍😊

Sunday walk 3.1km

Lazy Sunday afternoon 😄

17 may, cold, windy and drizzly walk

another 3.1km achieved, two more weeks ahead.

Halfway gardening day

Lovely cool gardening weather, with a short walk to top off. 3.1km😄❤️

Lincoln town

nice stroll through our town🤠

North circle walk 4.1km

I'm keeping close to home, and garden❤️😄

Oh the irony....

So, I've got athlete's foot. My goodness, such irony. Never been afflicted with the condition, I'm not exactly the athletic type. Now it's time to slow my progress and rethink my methods. But, it's a beautiful day nonetheless 🌞😄😉

Back home❤️

After our trip to Adelaide, we are both so glad to be home. I took every opportunity to walk during our stops at towns, to get coffee, lunch, charge our Seal, etc. So, I'm keeping pace with my challenge. Cheers Annette

Shopping 1.5km

Took a break from shopping to take a stroll around Somerton Park

Flinders medical 1.2km

Our destination, a trip to see the specialist at Flinders Medical Centre. Our trip was by train, fantastic service. Lots of walking between station, hospital, accommodation.

Clare village walk - 2.3km

Chilly Clare morning, brrrr

Trip to adelaide - charge at cowell plus 1.1km walk

Here we are, with Megzy, having lunch!

Port lincoln town walk 5.4km

It's a lovely day for a town circumnavigation❤️

May 6 - fourth walk - 4.3km

A windy, cool day's walk to North Point

May 5 - third walk 4.2km

My day at home, walking to the Western heights of East Bay and back. Beautiful day, warm and breezy.

May 4th post election walk 4.2km

After a couple of days off, handing out how to votes, I'm back into my challenge. It's a very windy, warm day, so walking around the southern part of East Bay was uncomfortable.

First day, first 4 km

Our spectacular local walking trails are a great start to my challenge. Point Boston is such a special place!

Starting out on a 100km journey

Hello Everyone. Not many of you will be aware it's 30 years since I was first diagnosed with relapse/remitting MS. It's been a long journey. MS hasn't defined my life, but it's been a strong influence on everything I get involved in, and how I respond to challenges. This year, it's time to reach out to my social network and community, and ask for some support for the people who work tirelessly to support us, the people living with MS.Help me to help MS Research to nail down the causes of MS, find ways to better support people with MS, and to attain the grail, find a cure. Thanks Everyone, I have challenged myself, setting myself a 100km journey during May. Follow my blog posts and enjoy!Cheers Annette
