I’m taking part in The May 50K challenge this May to raise funds for life-changing research into multiple sclerosis!

MS strikes young people in the prime of their lives. The average age of diagnosis is only 30 years old, and there is no known cure.

My Updates

Today was one of those days. 😟

I was working from home, time got away from me, and before I knew it the day was done, and the sky was already dark. I seriously considered skipping my daily run/walk and just making up the kilometres tomorrow instead. Motivation was low, energy was flat, stress levels were high, and honestly… I was ready for a beer on the couch. Then my dogs sat at my feet giving me *that look*. And I realised something — I didn’t need to commit to the whole run. I just needed to take the first step. So I got up. Laced up my shoes. Put the harnesses on the dogs. Walked out the front gate. After that, the hard part was over. What felt impossible sitting on the couch turned into a 2.7km run with the dogs, fresh air, a clearer head, and one less thing weighing on me tomorrow. No extra pressure. No stress hanging over my head. Sometimes motivation doesn’t magically appear before you start. Sometimes it comes *after* you begin. If you’re struggling with motivation, feeling overwhelmed, tired, stressed or just not “feeling it” — don’t focus on the whole journey. Don’t think about the finish line. Just take one step. The first step. The rest often becomes easier once you’re moving. 💙
