Support my challenge to leave MS behind!

This May, I’m taking on the 100K walking challenge for MS Australia, and I’d love your support!
I’m doing this for my beautiful twin sister, Keara, who was diagnosed with MS early last year.
It’s been an intense, confronting, and at times overwhelming journey, but if you know her, you know she meets life, and every challenge, with incredible strength, courage, and optimism (even on the really tough days).
MS is a complex and unpredictable disease that affects the brain and spinal cord, and right now there is no cure. That’s why this challenge matters: every dollar raised goes toward vital research and support services for people living with MS.
We’ve created a team called the Hot Mess Express to share the journey and support each other… but mostly because life is messy, healing is messy, and walking 100km in a month is seriously messy!
I’ll be clocking up my kilometres wandering through the Dorrigo rainforest - think lush, prehistoric greenery, waterfalls, dappled sunlight, and plenty of stops for random yarns or sweaty breaks along the way.
We’d love your support. Please donate, cheer us on, or even join in the madness. All forms of support are very welcome. You can follow our progress or join in here: https://www.themay50k.org/fundraisers/hotmessexpress

🌿 Day 1 complete for the Hot Mess Express 🚂💛
Today I kicked things off with a beautiful 6km walk with my lovely friend Kyla. We walked 1.5 hours from Griffiths Lookout to the T-intersection and back. Every time we considered turning around, we thought, just a little further, and it was so worth it! We were treated to sweeping views of the Great Dividing Range, rolling hills, farmland, and stunning autumn tones mixed with the kaleidoscope of greens that come with evergreen trees and rolling hills.🍂🍃
The rain held off (mostly). It was a perfectly warm autumn day, but we still got to show off our fabulous multicoloured raincoats at the end and finished just as the mist was rolling in… pure magic.
Moments like this remind me why I’m doing this and how truly lucky I am. Every step for my beautiful sister Keara and everyone living with MS. 💛
