My Updates

What a surprising morning

Beautiful morning with the sun shining and what a lovely surprise to see a hopeful fisherman land a fish! Walking with my Worba Wobblers team mate, daughter Melanie, and we also scored finishing up with another 7 kms to add to our tally.  A very satisfying morning.

Time for a rest.

A BIG walk today, and this is the 5km halfway point.  Time to cool off, rest a little, and fuel up ready for the next half to get back home before dark. Hoping some generous souls will urge me on to tackle a few more kms tomorrow by adding a few more dollars to  my fundraising.  I am very grateful that the weather has been co-operating and so not making any difficulties.

Fountains in the Gardens

Day 4 and I have logged another 6+ kms in my 100km challenge.  This beautiful scene in the Brisbane Botanic Gardens certainly made the work so much easier.

A Fairy's Tea Party site?

Had a great walk today, and have now passed my 20km logged in.  I was struck by the remnants of a once beautiful poinciana tree, and couldn't help wondering if it had been left to resemble a table and chairs set perhaps for the fairies to have their afternoon tea.
